The Coplin Family

32 weeks - 8 Months

She is moving/rolling/kicking/punching SO much right now!!  She did not stop moving ALL day Saturday.  It was pretty amazing and left me very tired.  6:30PM felt like 9:30 ;)  She is very high up in my belly right now - in my rib cage.  One thing I've thought about this week was what her hair will look like when she is a newborn.  Luke came out with sideburns and I didn't really have much hair.  It was straight and strawberry blond.  Luke's was thick and dark.  So we'll see, but she already has her hair, fingernails, and toenails ready for the big day ;)  Can you believe that my blood volume has increased 40 to 50 % since I became pregnant?
In other pregnancy news my hair is super poofy because none of it is falling out and I'm sawing some logs.  Oh, and my face has been breaking out too - lovely - just what I want to go into having a newborn with when I won't want to have to put on make-up.  I've been waking up with a sore throat and thought I was getting sick, but it's from snoring.  I think snoring is making me not sleep as well too because I keep waking myself up!!  Luke says I'm snoring because I'm "beefier" in the throat.  I like to say that it also has something to do with my sinuses being dried out and not being able to breath as well with everything pushed up.  Pretty funny.

Here it is...what you all have been asking and waiting for!!  We have come to a decision on Miss Toots' name.
And she will be called...
ADELE CLAIRE COPLIN
Adele is very special to me since it was my grandmother's name (my mom's mom).  Adele means noble, kind.  I pray that she comes to know Christ and that He makes her noble and kind.   I also pray that we are able to influence her in the upbringing of our home int that she doesn't go a day without knowing that we love her, but that God loves her even more.
I love this sweet and simple prayer that her "Nana" (my mom) wrote for her this morning:
"Lord – Be with Lindsey and Adele and keep them  safe from harm and healthy.  Let Adele come to salvation early in her life and may she grow into a Godly women full of mercy, grace and love for You.  Prepare Luke and Lindsey’s mind and heart to be Godly parents and to lean on your Word for instruction on raising her and to keep their marriage healthy and happy as a family."

Here are some other pictures of us from the photo shoot with David - Desso Photography:

MORE PHOTOS....Here is a "Merry Christmas" shot of the Coplin Clan.  It was at 7AM last week (taken by our tripod) and we didn't have much time before work to do many shots, so this is all we came up with.  However, the other shots are ones that Luke took with our new camera and I put together a collage of them :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS.  We hope you enjoy this season and are able to spend time with family and remember the sweet sacrifice that God made by sending His son here to earth to substitute our sin.  The Christmas story amazes me every year and I hope it does you too.
~Lots of love from the Coplin Clan!

  2. Casey, you are so sweet! I think right now is a hard time to feel "photogenic" since it's hard to smile as natural with puffy cheeks. I hope your pregnancy goes very well too! Not much longer!
