24 Weeks

Miss Toot is 24 weeks baked!   I guess that's 6 months.  She We are developing her lungs this week as well as the brain.  Her little taste buds are working and she is the size of an ear of corn.  I am seeing my belly being punched now.  It's pretty insane when I look down and see my necklace bounce on my belly.  Again, this is mostly when I'm hungry and she's demanding food - already!  haha.  Like mother like daughter....I'm so hungry right now!!  And when I get really hungry I get grumpy, sadly.  She must be sitting pretty low in my belly...I won't give details, but she is also putting pressure in other places that are not very pleasing - making it hard to walk.  I wonder if still jogging is making it worse.  I only jogged about a mile yesterday and just wasn't feeling great so I stopped.
And for those blog followers of  mine who said they didn't feel like my belly shots did me justice - that I actually look bigger in person - is this a better shot?
Went to the Dr. yesterday for the 24 week appointment.  She said everything looked great and that I was measuring right - I didn't get any numbers!  I'll ask for them next time so I can Again, while she was doing the heart doppler on my belly, she said, "whoa, you hear that?  That's movement."  DUH.  I told you my baby moves a lot!  I must say I feel pretty good other than the inner pressure that I mentioned beforehand.  Dr. M told me to get a support band for my belly to try to move everything up and off my pelvis to relieve pressure.  I'm not so sure that's my problem, but we'll try.  In food news, I haven't been craving as much junk and started eating raw carrots this week covered in ranch dressing ;)  However, I know I'm growing/she's growing because, again, I'm constantly hungry.

Pray for Luke TODAY - he has his big Professional Engineering test to get licensed.  It's 8 hours - blah!  I am so proud of him for studying and for taking the steps to take the test - it's got to be so nerve racking!  I'm glad he's the one who has to take it...he's the smarty pants ;)

Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut while Luke runs a 5k and then plays 9 holes of golf - he deserves it!  Hopefully, we'll make some progress on prepping/painting the bookshelf for the nursery white - no promises though.

Oh, and just a quick update on the nursery decor - I'm getting in a sample of the floral and aqua chevron fabric, but I'm leaning towards the bird pattern with the aqua chevron - I'm ready to make a decision!  Thanks for your input :)  Also, I found a glass piggy bank that goes well with the Ball jar pendant light - I'm excited!  It's not too baby/nursery-ish, yet still a classic nursery item, which is totally my style - and will become Miss Toots style ;)
Have a great weekend!
