28 weeks ~ 3rd Trimester

28 weeks and already in the 3rd Trimester!  I know most people say the 3rd trimester goes by slowly, but I think that may not be my case.  I cannot believe how this has all flown by and I'm sure the holidays will be distracting.  Nothing much different from last week, but I feel pretty great!  I know I've gained weight and I'm trying to be positive - I am really liking my belly :)  It's getting on out there!!!  I feel her digging in the trenches (my ribs) every day and it is so neat.  What a blessing and a miracle to be pregnant!  Sleeping is still getting better because the pregnancy pillow I'm borrowing, and I got a prenatal massage this past Saturday - cha ching!  I will have my last ultrasound and glucose (diabetes) test next week at 29 weeks - hopefully all the Thanksgiving food doesn't spike the test!
This past weekend was great!  Friday night we made chili and cornbread and just relaxed - ahhh.   Saturday, Luke was able to build the 2 dressers for the guest bedroom - a.k.a. his new dressing room ;)  They were only $99 each and I used the $50 gift card I earned by doing the C.A.N.D.L.E. observational research program, so it was only about $160 for the pair and they add lots of sliding drawer storage!  Plus, they pretty much match the nursery dresser just in case I need to mesh furniture in the future.  Those that have been following my blog...I have switched this guest bedroom up many times and I think she's gonna stay this way for a while.  I got tired of changing the sheets with the bed on the wall, so here's the new set up!  When you walk in the door...
And look to the right there's a computer area.
Close up of the cheap drawers.
Over the weekend, I organized (but not fully because I'm waiting on Luke's clothes to transition - I'm not allowed to touch them ;) all of the closets!!  Luke spent time washing the truck and trimming the yard one last time so that if when it snows this winter the snow will be even and not patchy ;)   I'm in definite nesting mode - getting all of those dust bunnies from under the bed, dressers, off the trim...yeah, our house has somehow gotten pretty dirty.  I spent a lot of time cleaning, but mainly organizing. I got the nursery storage ready for goodies we may get at the shower this weekend!  I also re-organized my craft/sewing/art closet in the hallway and hopefully that will lead to more crafting?  I had already re-organized my closet for maternity clothes, but I had void space at he bottom of the closet, so I used a bin system to store all of our totes, suit case, duffel bags, backpacks, etc.  Luke's closet...well, the most he would let me do is build his shoe organizer in the closet and put the shoes in there...but I'm sure he'll rearrange that ;)  Let's just say all the trips up and down the attic has left my back tighter than before my massage :(  But it hurts so good to have all of that done!

Here are some updated pics of the nursery - I received the crib sheets, changing pad cover and material for the crib skirt.  The chair is from our front sitting room since we rearranged everything for the Christmas tree, but the glider will take it's spot hopefully by the end of December :)  I also got some books on the bookshelf, which is nice, but it's not complete.

Saturday night we went out with 2 sweet couple friends of ours - the Black and the Warrens.  Matt and Lenox Warren had a scheduled C-section for Sunday night and wanted one last night on the town, so we ate at Houston's and then went to Yo-Lo - a local, self-serve yogurt shop.  Sorry no pictures, but what a great night!  Here is a picture of their sweet baby boy Worthington "Worth" Major Warren.  He is 7lbs. and such a cutie!
After feeling somewhat organized, I felt like it was time to bring out the Christmas items since we are traveling to Nashville for Thanksgiving and then to Jackson.  It will be nice to come back to a Christmas cheer house - or at least a built Christmas tree that we can add to.  I'm almost done Christmas shopping, which feels great to have some presents to go under the tree!  I love gift giving :)
P.S. I like to put lots of pictures on the blog only because I really enjoy looking at other people's pictures...it tells the story so much better, right?
P.P.S.  I swear I don't stage Pippet in pictures...she just never leaves my side :)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!  I'm so ready to spend some time with family :)
