The Coplin Family

23 weeks

23 weeks!  This week Miss Toot can feel me dance and hear me sing, is almost a foot long, and weighs over a pound.  She probably thought my 3 mile run on Sunday was fun :)  I demonstrated to Luke what she must have felt like (imagine hands in the air and bobbing around).  Luke started talking to her in my belly and muffles it with his hand for some reason - pretty funny.

I'm falling in love with this girl in my belly more every day!  I thank God for this opportunity to raise a child in His love and grace.  Not saying that will be easy, but I look forward to the growth our family is about to go through.  Speaking of growing pains...I believe I pulled a muscle in my belly doing an ab ball workout - didn't have my towel splint right I guess.  Sounds crazy, I know.  Also, I feel like I'm starting to get puffy - in the hands and feet - just feels tight sometimes.  Oh, and the face too dang it ;)  Bending over is getting a little harder...sleep is getting a little better!  I think I'm just anxious about all these little details swarming around me.

I had a great time running with Mandy, but our yard sale was not so much a success.  I was hoping to get rid of the few items I kept (that I thought would sell) at her garage sale.  Well, no luck - not even a dime!!  She did make $30 though.  Regardless, it was fun hanging out with the Payne family :)

I got some cute items at the consignment sale in Jackson on Friday!  Just when I said I don't really love pink...but you just cannot help it!  They sell gender early and really only make a bunch of pink or blue clothing items.  Oh well, they're still cute!  Some of them were new with tags - the smocked dress, the Calvin Cline onsie, the Old Navy fleece jumper.  The others are not in bad shape!  3 piece set (short sleeve onsie underneath), Gap cream velvet pants, Ralph Lauren velvety smocked dress.  The Kiddopotomus is something I had registered for, they had it listed for $5, so I took it!  Also, the infant carrier blanket cover thing is something similar to what I had registered for and it was new, so I snagged it for $7.
I did go ahead and also buy this newborn headband bow & infant cap w/ bow for "going home" in and for newborn pics :)

Speaking of details previously - something that is still on my mind and I'm trying to firm up is my nursery decor.  I'm ordering the floral sheets & changing pad cover, making my own crib skirt & lamp shade liner (to go on the inside of the lamp).  However, I 'm trying to decide between the aqua and white chevron fabric and the yellow and white chevron fabric (below).  I can do different art work based on that, but I do already have the abacus, mason jar pendant light, crib, and dresser.  I do not have the glider, ottoman, or rug yet.  Decisions, decisions!  Please excuse this mood board - I'm extremely amateur!

Well, off to finish all the details of this weekend's baby shower for my friend, Crystal Vitullo!
