It's been about 2 weeks, but I went to a conference in Chicago with my company - The Williams Company. We are an executive search firm and I support the President/Owner of the over 40 year old company as Executive Consultant to Beverage Operations. We serve the food and beverage manufacturing industries in placing executive level candidates both nationwide and internationally.
We DROVE to Chicago (yes, 10 hours) to meet up with the Top Echelon Network (our recruiting network and supporter of database). After a long day of meeting on both Friday and Saturday, Daniel, Janet, and I went downtown to meet up with one of my childhood friends, my brother, Ben Oliver. He lives in Bucktown and met us for dinner at the Vong's Thai Kitchen (blogged about it a few Mondays ago).
Here are some pictures of our voyage downtown...this is taken with my phone camera. Ben and Daniel made fun of me...no zoom on this baby, just pure action!
Rosemont Sheraton is where we stayed. I went for a run that morning and ran into this water tower :)
In other news, Janet was fired from her position as Recruiter last Monday. I am transitioning into her role and I need someone to replace me in my position. Let me know if you are looking for a job opportunity! I have the sweet hook up.
